THERE IS A LITTLE LONESOME BEE

Solitary Bee poem Written by Heather McCann for Solitary Bee Week 2019.

There is a little lonesome bee that flits between the flowers
It tries to gather pollen but still avoid the showers
It’s only one of many whose lives are very brief
So do your best, support them, don’t let them come to grief
Don’t swat them, shriek or run away when you hear their friendly buzz
Just provide a bijou bee brick and a few bee friendly shrubs!
